Summer Camp Robot Engineer Advanced

Weekdays 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, August 28 – September 1, 2017.  Open to children that have completed a previous VEX or Mindstorms class.

Early drop-off and late pickup times are 8:30 AM and 4:45 PM. Other times can be negotiated.

All camps facilitated by a Canadian trained experienced Electronics Engineer.

Location: BRCA (Bridgeland Riverside Community Association), 917 Centre Ave. N.E..

Anyone bringing their own VEX IQ Superkit will receive a $25 rebate. RobotC for VEX is now free, allowing students to work on programs at home!

Apologies for cancellation of this camp. We are moving our gear into a warehouse facility

and require this week to prepare for the move. Classes will start in September.

Advanced Robot Engineer Summer Camp,

August 28 – September 1

Build, program and compete your robot against the best minds in Calgary Summer Camps 2016!

   The 5-day camp is full day and is for children that have completed a previous VEX or Mindstroms class. More advanced C programming concepts and robotic builds will be covered. Campers will work on the VEX IQ Robotics Challenge 2016-2017. Click here!  Returning campers will be given new builds such as tanks and launchers.

Campers will be introduced to the C code and programming structures behind the RobotC natural language instructions used in previous classes. The VEX IQ Superkit will be supplemented by add-ons kits such as tank treads, ball launchers and ball pickers.

Clawbot

Robotic modifications and builds published by VEX, educational organizations and clubs, or designed “in-house” by our learners  will be used.

 

Each pair of learners will have use of one VEX IQ Superkit robot and accessory kit, and each learner will use his or her own computer when programming. Campers will demonstrate their robots in a specially designed competition table.

Students will learn to build and program VEX IQ’s  microcontroller using interactive smart motors, remote control, ultrasonic and color sensors, touch LEDs and bumpers. RobotC will bring the robot “to life”.

Learners will study and learn more detailed C language programming.

Campers with Mindstorms at home will benefit from learning RobotC programming techniques.
