A Warm Welcome to the Stop Motion Animation Camp: “SpacePort & The Outerworld Mine”.
THEME: Animated Stories About Events, Fortunes and Misfortunes in an Outerworld Mining Centre and SpacePort.
Four afternoons of exciting Stop Motion Animation that Includes Robotic Action! – for Children in Grade 2 to Grade 7.
This is a half day camp. If you wish a full day camp for your child, then please add the morning camp and this camp, then use coupon code FULLDAY for a 5% discount on checkout. We have a morning camp in which we build the structures used in this camp. The large quantity of building beams, train tracks and bricks as well as the number of computers and robotics kits make this a premium camp at bare-bone costs.
Children can work alone or work in pairs, and each will have access to a computer – this is unlike any other camp!
Wow. Young animators will have access to a scale model mining camp and SpacePort with railroads, computer controlled machines and robotics. This is not your everyday small scene animation. Children will develop a storyboard and split the story into segments that each will learn how to animate. In the end we will edit all the videos together to make a full feature film! Is it a dilithium crystal mine? Are there space robbers? Does an empire want to take over the mine? Are there aliens attacking? We will weave many stories but will choose one or two and animate away. Some programming will be required if robots and machines are to be included. However, it is not absolutely necessary to control the robots by computer as stop motion involves moving objects in small increments. It’s a wide open camp for curious minds that will provide solutions to problems we can’t even imagine right now. The scenes will be built from the morning class!
Brickineers classes are motivating and engaging and have become the summer highlight of many youngsters!
