Learn how to design competition mats, program and use the LEGO BOOST robot as a clawbot to navigate and grab things. Perhaps it can be transformed into a Mar explorer or a battlebot? We will use the BOOST programming language and also learn how to use Scratch. Scratch is a universal and free children’s programming platform, and with it the BOOST robotics system is no longer restricted to older computers.
Grades 2 to 6 to programming and robotics using the Lego Boost kit. Each child will have their own computer station and use of their own clawbot.
Competition mats designed at the workshop can be taken home for future use. Clawbot parts will be offered for sale during the workshop to supplement BOOST kits at home if desired. We won’t leave you wondering where to get great parts!
